Central Market Cooking School

I've taken a lot of classes here, and the variety is great -- but the real draw is the teachers. They've been doing this forever, they've been in the industry, they know their stuff, and they answer every single question without ever once trying to sell you anything. (The only way you get a sales pitch is if you ask whether they sell it downstairs.)

They recently started bringing in local chefs to do demos -- I caught one from March, which was incredible. Learning a technique straight from a Michelin-starred chef, in a cooking class, was not something I expected, and I walked out having learned an absurd amount. Worth keeping an eye on their schedule just for those.
